The best airports in the world

If you happen to have the misfortune of spending a little too long in transit at the airport, which one do you want to be stuck in? Skytrax, a company specialising in airline and airport research, have compiled their list of The Best Airports in the World based on the feedback from passengers rating airports on a range of factors including amenities, shopping and security.

Singapore’s Changi Airport has been voted the World’s Best Airport, it’s fourth time the airport has won the top prize. With more than 330 retail outlets and 120 food and beverage options you will never be left bored or hungry during your stopover in Singapore.

Second place was taken by South Korea’s Incheon International Airport and took the top awards for Best Airport Staff Service in Asia and Best International Transfer Airport.

Third place put Europe in the running with Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport winning Best Airport in Europe.

Unfortunately Australian airports didn’t fair so well, with Brisbane coming in at No.21, Melbourne No.29 and Sydney Airport at No.31 this year.

The Top 10:

1 Singapore Changi Airport

2 Incheon International Airport

3 Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
